Poem 210117

A day gives

twenty-four hours

for life to be lived.

Six hours to rest while

recharging body and brain,

six hours to rise

with awaken mind

and walk down

the decision path.

Seven hours come

to make real the ideas

setting footprints once lived,

three hours follow

after sunset leaves the horizon

for minds to share and reflect

the outcomes of the day.

Two hours then left

for the pensive mind to unwind

and fall back to dream

of new buckets to fulfill.
