Old and new,
everything has
a beginning and an end,
a youngest and an eldest.
Cause and consequence
all future has
a present and a past,
and all races have
a first and a last.
Like hot and cold
most have an opposite
singular and plural,
dark night and sunny day.
Because sometimes
opposites link and become,
the difference is not
in the meaning,
but in how we apply it.
