Like That

Like that
the thought was gone
the imagination shut
the word erased
the will stopped.
How long will the world
survive without words?
Like that
all was forgotten
excuses were given
minds were obliterated
for the norm not to be disturbed.
How did it happen?
When will the thinking return?
Like that
the waves forgot the shore
the currents abandoned the rivers
the roses lost their odor
the clouds left the sky.
Where did all go?
When will all stop?
Like that
Summer became Winter
Fall ignored Spring
bees never tasted pollen
and new roses never ever grew.
How could the land
survive without hope?
